Resources

For a full bibliography of Anne Lister research and other materials, Shibden Hall / Calderdale Museums maintain and update an Anne Lister research resources page.

Other Resources:

Helena Whitbread and Jill Liddington maintain resource pages, which include footage of numerous interviews and other video materials.

Gentleman Jack and the West Yorkshire Archive Service’s diary transcription project have prompted a wave of independent inquiry and postings about Anne Lister online. The collaborative site Packed with Potential (“a hub for a community of individuals pursuing independent research to reference, contribute and publish resources, findings and connect with others”) offers a variety of resource lists and posts emerging data, including an ongoing Anne Lister Timeline. The site is powered by volunteer contributors from around the world.

The website for the Anne Lister Birthday Week  hosts much useful information — and also a tremendous archive of lively interviews of contributors to the Anne Lister story, conducted by Pat Esgate.
