Biography

Joanna Lipking (Ph.D. Columbia University) taught seventeenth and eighteenth-century English literature and comic forms of all periods, with a special interest in writings by women. She was the editor of the Norton Critical Edition of Aphra Behn's Oroonoko and author of essays on Behn and other early women authors.
